Our Mission & Teachers

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

At Holding Space Yoga, our mission is to enrich lives through the transformative practice of Vinyasa yoga. We prioritize community, connection, accessibility, and the integration of mind and body in every class offered.

Rooted in compassion and presence, our approach is grounded in a commitment to inclusivity and creating a welcoming space for all. We support personal growth through education, spiritual exploration, and a deep respect for the traditions of yoga. With authenticity and integrity at the core of our values, Holding Space Yoga is dedicated to guiding each student on their unique journey—both on and off the mat.

Before You Step on the Mat

Your yoga practice begins long before your first pose. It starts with how you speak to yourself, how you breathe through stillness, and how you create space to listen inward.

At Holding Space Yoga, we believe that showing up for yourself - through affirmations, journaling, meditation, or breathworks - just as meaningful as the movement itself. These simple rituals help anchor you in presence, build self-awareness, and gently prepare you to step on the mat with intention. Whether it is taking a few deep breaths in the morning, writing down what you are grateful for, or repeating a mantra that resonates with you, each act is a powerful beginning.

Tools for the Journey

Yoga does not begin and end on the mat - it is a way of living, breathing, and connecting with yourself throughout the day. Here are a few simple tools you can return to anytime you need to ground, reflect, or reset:

  • Breathwork: Try box breathing - inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, and hold again for 4. Just a few rounds can ease tension and bring you back to center.

  • Meditation: Begin with just two minutes of stillness. Close your eyes, place one hand on your heart, and silently repeat: “I am here. I am enough.” Let that be your anchor.

  • Journaling Prompt: Take a few quiet moments and write: “What does it mean for me to hold space for myself today?” Let your thoughts flow freely - no right or wrong answers.

These small practices are powerful ways to care for yourself - to reconnect, recharge, and realign.
